Boothe first heard about Africa’s child soldiers more than a year ago and began researching the topic. He came across media reports about the problem. Like the creators of the Kony film, Boothe was inspired to do something about Africa’s child soldiers. He wanted to give a voice to the armed child in the image that he couldn’t forget.
