DIY Spa: The Holiday Wrap-up
The Soak
’Tis the season for endless days of running around the mall, trying to score that perfect gift for someone who has everything. After the nog has been poured, the gift wrapping shredded and the turkey cut, sink into a tub full of soothing aromas and therapeutic salts.
You’ll need:
½ cup of powdered milk ½ cup of Epsom salt 10 drops of lavender essential oil 5 drops of lemon essential oil
In a blender or chopper, grind the Epsom salt until it’s a fine powder. Pour the salt into a glass bowl, add powdered milk and blend ingredients.
Add lavender and lemon essential oils and mix; lavender essential oil is known for its calming properties, while lemon essential oil soothes aches, including those caused by headaches.
Add mixture to warm bathwater and swirl water around until it has dissolved.
Light a candle, turn the phone off, then sit, soak and count your blessings that you made it through another holiday season.
