Little Burgundy launches The Future Issue
Last Thursday the Show & Tell Gallery was buzzing with media insiders eager to catch of glimpse of shoe trends for spring 2011. The gallery, currently hosting artist Dan Bergeron’s thought provoking Faces of the City exhibit, was the ideal spot for shoe store Little Burgundy’s Welcome to the Future event. The ladies of Little Burgundy hosted a fun and entertaining night complete with a live dj, fortune teller and tarot card reader, all to celebrate the launch of The Future Issue, the sixth installment of Little Burgundy’s self titled magazine.
With a new store at Mississauga’s Square One Shopping Center, Little Burgundy-a subsidiary of ALDO GROUP, can boast a long list of trendy commercial brands for shoes ( Doc Martens, Jeffery Campbell, Minnetonka, Marc Jacobs) and accessories (House of Harlow, Uranium and much more), geared towards the “urban trendsetter”. The magazine itself is full of great style ideas, and interviews with some of the world’s top shoe designers.
“With our new collection, Little Burgundy aims to get our traditionally sporty client to become more city. So this season we have alot more leather and suede. Also, the unique thing about Little Burgundy is that we buy a lot of our pieces closer to the season in order to be right on trend,” said Tanya Furci-Argento, public relations coordinator for Little Burgundy.
So what are the trends for spring 2011? “Definitely a lot of floral prints, denim and earth toned shoes,” according to Furci-Argento.
Based on the launch, it’s clear that Little Burgundy carries accessories and shoes that cater to a wide variety of tastes. To pick up a copy of The Future Issue and shop the latest in fall/winter 2010 shoes and accessories, visit any one of Little Burgundy’s eleven locations nationwide.
