The arrival of Autumn signals cool weather and an even cooler attitude toward working out. Take advantage of the cooler temps by taking your workout to the great outdoors. Without a hot summer sun beating down, you’ll be able to exercise longer and get maximum results. Here are a few tips to keep your workout plan on track this fall.
Dress in layers: Other than a great excuse to go shopping, the proper clothing will keep you comfortable during your workout. When exercising in cooler temperatures, don’t overdress or underdress; wear layers that you can remove as you heat up, and put back on as you cool down.
Enrich your senses: The beautiful scenery of an autumn forest is enough to make anyone want to spend the day outside. Allow your senses to enjoy a workout at the same time your muscles do. The sound of crunching leaves and the smell of brisk autumn air will give you added energy during that long walk.
