Christine Williams – a person with Sway

21 July 2010 83 views No Comment

As Scotiabank’s most senior black Canadian and district vice-president, Christine Williams reflects the strength, dedication and passion that are the three keys to personal and professional success.

Having worked with Scotiabank while living in Jamaica, Williams recalls making the decision to stay with the company in light of its popular presence in Canada and its dedication to retail and small business, including what Williams dubs “the local marketplace” of the community.

“Caribana aligns well with our priorities and commitments. You have that cultural linkage from the bank, to Jamaica, all the way into Toronto.

We are a socially responsible company — our corporate goals and initiatives align well with our stakeholders, customers and employers — most of whom are out there at the parade!

Caribana is a cultural explosion of talent, one of those events that enriches our multicultural families and gives you a warm feeling beyond it just taking place in summer. It brings a spark to Toronto and is an absolutely unique cultural experience.”
