CONTRIBUTION
For a woman who stands 6'4", Tammy Sutton-Brown has seemingly flown under the radar. An eight-year veteran of the WNBA, she was the first Canadian ever to be selected to the WNBA All-Star Game and represented Canada at the 2000 Olympics. Competing year round, she spends her off seasons in Turkey and led her club to the Turkish Championship this year. Last summer she started the Tammy Sutton-Brown Girls Basketball Camp and, in December, hosted a "Day of Pampering" at Street Haven at the Crossroads, a shelter in Toronto that helps women get back on their feet.
INSPIRATION
"Ever since day one, my parents have been there, through everything. I don't think my mom missed a high school game and they come down to Indiana at least once a year. My dad has been overseas twice. They're my biggest supporters."
Whether your mother's vanity was lined with bottles or merely stocked with soap and cold cream, she no doubt taught you a thing or two about feeling beautiful.
